Yet another fantastic trip around Vietnam… this time Daklak province, which is the coffee capital of Vietnam, north of Dalat. We flew to Buon Ma Thuot, we hired a motorbike and toured around for 3 days. The higlights of our trip can be summarised to Dakruco Hotel in Buan Ma Thuot - the best hotel in town (4*) with amazing service and 55 USD per night charge with the bestest swimming pool on Earth after 3 days of scootering around on the dusty rouds.
From the sights, two great experiences - Yok Don National Park and Dray Sap waterfall. There is lot of elephants in the surrounding, so it is a must for a tourist. We also went to Lak Lake, but that was more a dissapointment.
Yok Don NP was very nice, with typpical housing of traditional villages and wonderfull small village build on hanging bridges…
The Dray Sap fall was just amazing and we also had a chance to dip in the beautiful water…
Our trip through out the surroundings of Daklak took us on all strange ‘roads’. The road we took was not even on the map nor local did think it was possible to take the shortcut we did. After fighting through some stack of hays, road under constructions and bag locals to get us over river, we managed to get on the other side of the huge wetland that was right in the middle of harvesting rise… what a wonderful experience…
The sunset is over the Lak lake…
