Back to Australia - Perth, Margaret River and below
Andrea | February 20, 2010 10:38 amAfter two years we returned back to Western Australia. Apart from catching up with some friends in Perth, we have truly enjoyed travelling down south.
We have spent 2 nights in Denmark, where we found this wonderful remote house in the middle of bush with private beach about 10 mins walk away. The place was called Green Pool Retreat. We have also visited the famous Tree Top Walk.
Then we spent 2 days in Bellingup at Michael’s brothers house. What a view! We have done some wine tasting and meat pie tasting along the way…
And then 3 days in Margaret River… back in our little cute house borrowed from Tony (thank you!!). We really love this place. To keep the marron tradition from 2 years ago, we bought again marron for dinner. This time no killing disasters. And on top, we have bought an ostrich egg - just to get inside was an experience. Did you know that one ostrich egg is equal to two dozens of chicken eggs? It was full bowl! The yoke in size of a cup. The taste was very similar as chicken egg, only a bit lighter and watery. We have truly enjoyed the food and wine and cooking at home….
